IntroIntelligence level: Human
What they sound like: Humanlike Voices, Can talk Cappari are supposedly angelic messengers, but they often don't act like it. Most have an unbelievably sharp memory and an insatiable appetite for gossip. They are organized by ranking, with the higher ranks generally more relaxed in nature. It seems as though they sustain themselves not from eating, but by passively collecting the life energy given off by other living creatures. They're shrouded in mystery and we're uncovering more about them little by little. They can teleport! |
Life Stages
Cappari hatch from an egg! It's unknown how the eggs are created, but they are kept in the cappari nursery and they will only grow & hatch once a cappari-made halo is bestowed upon them. When they reach cappi stage they will leave the nursery and go to live with a caretaker- every cappari has occasional caretaker duties and have the ability to adopt the cappi after a set period of time. Cappi go to school in the cappari kingdom to learn cappari culture and magic, and graduate when they're fully grown.
1-2 years: Capip are just fat little babies!! Their collar is just a bib. They cannot levitate by themselves, so they hang off their halo which can levitate a foot or two off the ground. They are often seen with their toys floating around their halo. Capip cannot use magic or teleport, but can have small outbursts of magic when they experience a strong emotion or sneeze, so be careful!
3-8 years: A Cappi's collar is almost full size, and has an opening at the front, making it look similar to a shawl. Cappi have childlike language skills and are often very naughty- they are just starting to be able to use magic and teleport! Thankfully they leave a teleport trail detectable by cappari, so their caretaker can find them if they disappear suddenly. 8+ years: Cappari are fully grown! they have full speech, magic and teleportation powers. |

Ranks
Cappari have a hierarchy of ranks:
Cherubic- The most common cappari. They spend most of their time in the world among regular living things to collect passive energy but they also live in the Cappari Kingdom among the clouds, which is only accessible to cappari.
Domini - One higher rank from cherubic, they regulate the duties of the cherubic cappari. They are larger than cherubs and their bodies are more elongated, with a larger body-to-head-ratio (see second image)
Ascended - Includes a number of high-ranking roles such as Enlightened and Warrior, responsible for directing the Domini below them. Ascended cappari take a more bipedal form, possess winglike arms and masks or helmets that cover their face. Warrior cappari are responsible for seeking out and destroying threats.
Apostle - The highest rank of cappari, 12 members of this rank live at the centre of the kingdom and are responsible for directing Ascended, and for the overall safety and welfare of the kingdom.
Core - The source of the cappari's survival and wellbeing, known as Halcyon.

Diviniforms
Diviniforms are enormous colonial organisms comprised of a core, and workers. Workers capture life energy and bring it to the core, which in turn provides them with nourishment and a source of magic. They live to provide for and protect the core.
Extrovore diviniforms collect the passive energy living things give off, while introvore diviniforms forcefully take the life energy from other living things, and over time can grow big enough to drain whatever world they're in of all its life. Some diviniforms may shift between extrovore and introvore at different stages. Diviniforms require so much energy that there can only be one diviniform per dimension- if there is more than one, they will seek out and attempt to destroy the other. Some diviniforms have grown so large they exist across multiple dimensions and will send scouts out to new worlds to expand even more. Diviniforms that exist across multiple dimensions can pull dimensions closer together or even merge them, which can cause possibility shifts and enormous shake-ups for the dimensions affected. |

|
Halcyon is the name of the Cappari's core. It is a powerful, sentient being that shares the consciousness of all Cappari, and provides them with the energy and nourishment they need to live. It lives in a subdimensional pocket within the dimension Tessarium is in at the centre of the cappari kingdom, which is heavily guarded by the twelve apostles, and near impossible to access.
All Cappari have their own limited stores of magic, but if they are facing a powerful foe or are in a dire situation they can call on Halcyon's power and utilize the strength of the entire colony. At the end of its life, a Cappari will "Return to Halcyon" They enter into the halo of halcyon, their body is absorbed and they become one with the core again. |
Anatomy
Cappari do not have internal organs- they are primarily made of magic and have semiphysical properties. They don't feel pain in the same way we do, they can take a physical form but are able to scatter their particles to teleport along the hidden cappari teleportation highways that run throughout the world. When they become fallen, they become more physical than magic & can be physically/mortally wounded, and it's a great shock to their bodies to cope with.
