IntroIntelligence Level: Gecko, Blood Parrot fish
What they Sound like: This Bettabo are squishy amphibians that look and behave a lot like betta fish- they're feisty, like to show off, and have very tiny brains. Bettabo breathe both air and water and they can vocalise- their sounds are similar to the chirps and croaks frogs make. In their environment they each find and set up a little space or "nest" for themselves to be their home either underwater or out of water, and they like to arrange it just so- they will bring in rocks, shells and plants in and push them around to make it a comfy place to live. |
AnatomyBettabo are soft-bodied amphibians with very small scales. They breathe air but can also hold their breaths for a long time underwater. They must be kept in moist environments- they can be out of the water for up to half a day but must return to water to keep their skin from drying out. There are both saltwater and freshwater bettabo - freshwater bettabo can swim in salt water but cannot breathe it and vice versa.
